Richard joined Cogent in July 2017. He has extensive experience over 25+ years of practicing as a Chartered Building Surveyor and Project Manager, operating within various property sectors including offices, industrial, hotels and even power stations.

He has worked with a broad range of clients, including occupiers, institutional investors and pension funds and has worked on instructions in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Richard has accumulated a wealth of experience in technical due diligence and development appraisal work as well as managing construction projects ranging from single floor office refurbishments to larger commercial developments.

Richard has more recently specialised in the Central London Office market, acting as Employer’s Agent and Project Manager, delivering complex ‘cut and carve’ office developments for property owners / Fund clients.

He is an APC Counsellor and has also acted as an APC Supervisor to support and guide trainee surveyors through the RICS qualification process.

Richard is a family man and likes to spend time with his young family. He also likes to unwind either playing the drums in a local rock band or watching heavy metal bands in Camden! He is a keen mountain bike rider and also volunteers his time to help support local charities as a former Chairman of his local Round Table organisation.
